Configuration dialog box

This dialog box displays every option you can set in Play The Web. Note that you can resize this dialog box to make it larger and therefore display more information. Drag any window border to change its size.

Configuration password

If a Configuration password has been set, the password entry dialog is displayed. It is then necessary to input the right password to gain access to the Configuration dialog box:

Be careful when you type the password because the password is case sensitive.

The configuration password can be set in the "About" tab.

Configuration tabs

The Configuration dialog contains thirteen tabs:

General Set home page, screensaver delay or action when the mouse moves.
Layout Defines main window layout, manages pop-up windows, hide scroll bar or set page list order.
Pages Sets Pages to display in screensaver mode.
Include Defines allowed addresses for navigation.
Exclude Defines restricted addresses for navigation.
Default Defines default options.
Tool Run Edits buttons on the screensaver tool bar.
Tool Nav Edits buttons on the navigation tool bar.
Reboot Allows reboot of the computer at a given time.

Configuration menus

The Configuration dialog box contains also a menu bar with six menus: File, Edit, Favorites, Channels, Tab and Help.

File menu contains items allowing you to create a new presentation for Web Screen Saver, to open an existing presentation or to save the current one. Also, you can quit Web Screen Saver with that menu.

Edit menu contains options to edit and display the page list of the current presentation.

Favorites menu contains options to add and edit internet favorites.

Channels menu contains links to samples using popular web sites.

Tab menu contains shortcuts to each tab in the Configuration dialog box.

Help menu contains links to the documentation you are reading and to the Web Screen Saver web site.

The main part of the dialog box contains thirteen tabs with options you can change.

Below the tabs, you see two buttons commonly found on any dialog box:

OK A click on this button saves all parameters to current .WSS file (if it is not read-only) and to Windows registry (windows layout, reboot options or registration information).
Cancel A click on this button cancels any update that you have done in this dialog box since it is displayed.
