Network options
This tab contains settings that allow Play The Web to know if the computer is connected to the network or not. First, you have to define a test URL if you want to enable detection of the network. When you set a test URL, Play The Web queries this address when the software is launched and at the end of the page loop. If there is a reply on this address, Play The Web knows that the network can be used. When there is no reply on the test URL, Play The Web will not use the network anymore and switch the web browser to off-line mode. After that, all pages will be retrieved from the local Internet Explorer cache. The "Check connection to the network" option buttons have three choices:

If the computer running Play The Web is behind a proxy server, you have to set proxy settings. These parameters are necessary to go through the proxy server and access the network. Provide a "User name" and a "Password" in the appropriate text boxes to connect to the proxy server. Affiliate network | Documentation | Support | Link to us Last update 04/16/2008 |
